Very nice Dan, like the redness
I was out watering this morning and the pot containing this zinnia and others is just loaded with VERY vibrant giant zinnias.
I added some fertilizer a month ago, maybe it is working...2x watering a day on a very hot and humid summer taxes the nutirients in a huge 150+ pound concrete pot.
I grabbed my Fuji GFX and 120mm Macro..it was very bright..I will take more this late afternoon...

Now in modern times one rarely sees the portable window screen....from my childhood..that was our a.c. Never had central air until the 1960's.
Living in Iowa not even an ac window unit.
A "lazy susan" in the middle of the table??!!!! That a "clutch plate" on the floor in #1?
I like both frames Robert! Different...retro chic eh?

Appears to be a clutch plate.
My Dad used to tell me stories of when him and Mom were dating. Mom was from a family with 10 kids. Dad used to be polite at dinner letting the others get their food first when the lazy Susan was being turned. Grampa informed him that was not a good idea as when the lazy Susan returned to Dad with a given dish it would be empty. As Grampa said get the food on the first go around.

Thanks Dan! Trying to find things to pass the time, waiting for this hazy, humid, stale summer air to pass. . This is a fun challenge though, and an impressive sight to see. Never get tired of it.

I am not a summer person Tim! My age, my physical limitations due to genetics have made this thee worst summer ever!
I am a cold weather person. My body functions far better than the heat and humidity.
This terrible summer has its benefits....mushrooms of every shape, color, size......other than my patio, I am not outdoors much!
If I was "near you" I would be stationed at Longwood Gardens all summer or the mushroom houses of Kennett Square.
Thanks!
Dan
PS I am amazed that you were able to set up and take this image with no people "rushing" you about.

I'm definitely not a fan of heat and humidity either, but I can tolerate it a bit more than I used to be able to. Your profile says western mountains, so hopefully you get some reprieves. I'm in the "heat dome" of south central/eastern PA...sometimes I feel like we just cook.
Seems like a lot of stuff I like to photograph is an hour or two away, but that's doable for a day trip.
If you go to the PA Capitol on a Sunday morning, right when they open, you just have to wait a few minutes for the tour to clear out. They start right where I shoot, but then go off meandering through the building. Oddly enough there aren't a lot of people there at that time.
In any case, stay cool. Hopefully we get a reprieve soon, I hear towards the end of the month it might get cooler.
