I reckon that my acquiring a 21mm SEM is inevitable, but not imminent. I have an excellent Zeiss C Biogon 21mm f/4,5 ZM, which is truly wonderful for monochrome work. This nicely compact 21mm ZM being a film-era ultra-wide, the ray angles produce color shift, when used with pre-M11* color digital M cameras, so, I added a Voigtlander Nokton 21mm f/1,4 Aspherical, to use on my M10.
One motivation to add the 21mm SEM is that it is said to perform much like the Elmar-M 24mm ASPH, which is a lens that I have, and really like. 21mm and 24mm are actually quite different, in angle-of-view, so, there is no “duplication.”
*The much-different M11 sensor is reported to be unaffected by color shift, when using vintage 21mm lenses.

Sorry for the late reply, Lou. I know there are 3D printing services online, though I haven't used them myself. They are affordable, and you just need to send them the STL file I uploaded.

That's great to hear! These days, 3D printers are very affordable. I got mine for $185, and it can print almost anything. I highly recommend getting one.
There are surprisingly only few threads on this forum about the Leica 21mm SEM lens.
The lens is magnificent. But. There's always a but. It all depends on what you want from it. I really love the 15mm focal length – the lenses distort space fantastically and give a truly amazing perspective. In this sense, for me, the 21mm is a wider version of the 35mm. I sold this lens some time ago, but I always want to buy it back)). Street photos of people with the 21mm SEM are fantastic.
