p.3 #2 A simple method to determine your Fujifilm recipe afterward
Revisiting this topic - Still a shame Fuji doesn't just write it at time of capture.
One other way that would work without extra software. When you change recipes, change your copyright or author information to reflect the recipe name. Then it is in the EXIF (not makers notes) and easily seen.

I could be wrong, but film sim bracketing only works with base film simulations, not custom recipes.

The old Film Sim vs Recipe wording issue.
Seems this whole old thread was about trying to find out what recipe was used, but looking at the data and determining based one the film sim and other settings. if one wants to shoot only the one "recipe", then renaming could work, although cumbersome if you use more than one "recipe" on a walk, etc.
On most Fujis I have seen/used, and even the X-E5 with its FS1-3 options, Film Sim bracketing is still an option, so if one uses that, with a custom copyright or author, you'd mess that up and need the EXIF hack to find out what was what.
I think, in the end, there is no great, always works, solution... unless Fuji comes up with one and writes the "Custom Recipe" name to the EXIF somewhere.
