Stick 45mm f2.8 on GFX100s and you got a big daddy. Size, weight isn't bad at all. Don't like slow f2.8 (approx f2 FF) then you choices either longer GF lens like the 55mm f1.7 or Tamron 45mm f1.8 with an adapter. I am hoping Fuji releases 45mm f1.7 GF some day. I don't think about FF anymore.
Y’know… I’ve thought about a GFX 50R and putting my old Minolta 45/2 on it as a fun, shallow DOF camera to pair with my now ancient and totally irrelevant X100V.

Is the 23/2 on the x100v or x100vi a wide 35mm fov equivalent or a narrow 35 fov equivalent or an exact 35mm equivalent?
Give the 1.5x crop factor and the 23mm focal length, its angle of view should be equivalent to that of a (1.5 x 23) 34.5mm lens on full frame, so very slightly wider angle of view than the 35mm focal length on FF.
Lenses are often only approximately their nominal focal length. The Fuji 16mm f1.4 R WR has a slightly narrower fov than the 16mm f2.8 Fujicron, for example. Also, the 28mm lens on the Leica Q is reportedly more like a 24mm fov.
It is not something that has even bothered me or ever even noticed in practice because I have never found a lens so far out that it made any real difference.

I thought Fuji's crop factor was 1.52, which makes it very close the 35mm equivalent assuming it is indeed an exact 23mm focal length. But it doesn't negate the issue that stated focal lengths are sometimes only approximate.

The diagonal of 35mm is 43.27 (Square root of 36 squared + 24 squared).
The X100V sensor according to the specs is 23.5mm x 15.7mm so the diagonal would be 28.26 (Square root of 23.5 squared + 15.7 squared).
That makes the crop factor 1.53 and the 23mm would be 35.21 equivalent.
Assuming my assumptions and calculations are correct.
Sometimes I think companies make the lenses on these fixed lens cameras a tiny bit wider on purpose so that when in-camera corrections are done to fix distortion, you get the actual FOV reported on the spec sheet. It’s not until you pull up an uncorrected RAW file that you notice.
I’ve seen multiple folks talk about how the Leica Q is more like a 24 compared to their other lenses. But I guess we’d have to know which lens is correct in that scenario. If you’re comparing the 28 to a 24 and they’re the same, is the 28 too wide or the 24 too narrow? Alternatively, if you’re comparing a 28 to a 28 and they don’t match, is one of them too wide or one of them too narrow?

Anyone planning to get the Fujifilm LH-X100 Lens Hood and Adapter Ring?
What are my Arca-Swiss plate options?
What about screen protectors? Is Fujifilm using the same LCD dimensions as on the X100V?
I can really only speak to the X100V (not the VI), but I have used the JJC round hood with adapter ring, Haoge square hood with adapter ring, and the SquareHood Model V with adapter ring. I like the look of the Model V the best, but the Haoge is easier to take on and off as it doesn't require a tool to lock down the hood to the ring. The round hood (whether you go with JJC or the OEM Fuji one for 4-5x the price) is the fastest if you're swapping out filters or just need to remove the hood for some reason and you don't want to have to unscrew things or realign it when you're done (which is a pain on square hoods since nobody makes one that just locks in straight).
For Arca-Swiss plates, I just use the little ones and put them on when I'm going to be using a tripod (rare). If you don't mind the extra bulk, you can go with one of the grips with Arca-Swiss compatible bottom plates, but I they make the camera a little taller, and I haven't found one that I like the grip on.

Haoge and JJC on amazon make great third-party lens hood with adapter. Rectangular hoods look nice, but they are not locked in place, so you have to check them for alignment from time to time. Because of this a round hood makes more sense, but it is not as cute as rectangular ones.

Right. So in fact is it wider or narrower than its nominal focal length? Or is it pretty much on the mark?
I ask because I actually prefer a 40 fov to a 35 fov.

My understanding is that all X100V accessories should fit the X100VI.
On my X100V, I use the LensMate thumb grip, which I find dramatically increases the quality of the hold for me. I also have a JJC front grip with arca-swiss plate, but I only use it when I'm going to use the tripod...I prefer the feel with just the thumb rest.
I use the Haoge combination filter/hood, which was like $35 or $40 and kills two birds with one stone, at less than half the price of the Fuji filter adapter and hood. It's also more compact, and allows me to use the stock Fuji lens cap.

I had the LH-X100 lens hood and adapter for my X100v. It looked nice, but the vented hood would fall off with a bump as it's only held on by pressure springs (not like a Leica vented hood with the side tabs).
Another pain point with that setup is that with the adapter ring (and any lens filter installed), you can't use the lens cap that comes with the camera.
If it were me, which I think I may do with the X100VI once it arrives, is look at the Squarehood brand hoods. They seem to be a little pricier, but a better solution.
As for a screen protector, any X100V screen protector will work. I had bought a 2 pack from Amazon, so I'll use the extra for the X100VI.
