The darn old 1d; still better for strobed sports than the 1d mkII or anything else out there, really, because of the 1/500 (or higher flash sync). Here is another unusable shot from a game or two ago.....

This image is so bad that I had it printed on a 100x56cm canvas so I can hang it on my living room wall so that everyone can see how bad my camera is.
I kind of thought this thread was just going to turn into a bunch of bragging via posting photos (which it is, i admitingly took part ) but it actually says a lot.

Goes a long way to say that good photographic and post-processing technique is more important the the tool itself, so go out, shoot more, learn Photoshop, improve your technique, instead of bickering on this forum...
We have lost too many valuable Old Guards (meant in a respectful way) - i.e. those who were actively contributing to the forum in a constructive and positive way - because of these senseless insults and exchanges (occuring in other threads even now). Peace.
