Sorry to say it, but I don't think I ever see the broad discounts reoccurring outside of the November/December window.
I have EDU pricing, but the deals in November-December were better. I don't really have to buy anything now, so I may just wait till next Fall. That will give me a chance to see what Sony rolls out in the meantime.
I thought that there usually aren't any great deals apart from the holidays. That's why I was asking.

Yeah, that's sort of what I meant. Best deals are in the fall and EDU sometimes gets you even more on top of those fall deals while they are running. Rest of the year you get EDU deals....and sometimes some discounts, but on the whole they aren't as good as the deals you get in the November/December.

I have been shopping for a new photo system since April. There have been two sales events since April of which I am aware.
1. Labor Day Sale - B&H had a major photo/electronics show NY and there were significant discounts on not only Sony but all the major photo manufacturers... (I was able to get the A7R V at $3498) there were other camera body and lens discounts as well.
2. November-December - A similar discount sale was available. The November sale was focused around the introduction of the A9iii and FE 300mm f/2.8 GM. December seems to have been a holiday sale.
Since I am new to Sony, I am not sure what the Winter/Spring sale calendar will be.
Just published (3/6/24) by B&H and Adorama, is the WPPI Sale - Wedding & Portrait Photographers Convention is currently in Las Vegas... There are some bargains available, but doesn't seem to be as deep as the Christmas sale...

However... EDU prices are even better during sales. For instance, I just bought an A7RV and on the drive back from the local store, said store called me up and said, "We're refunding you $400 to your credit card". Because of the sale

The for sale period is the Buy & Sell here. I mean a new A1 for $4750, new A7RV for $3000, new A9III for $5000.... You don't ever see any official discount at these prices, unless a replacement model is released.

A9iii for $5k is quite an interesting price. Having said that, it's really beyond me why someone would not just return it to the store for full refund, especially if never used. 30 days is plenty of time to make a decision and have it returned.

Before I buy new again I'm going to lock into the Buy-Sell thread of this website. Some outstanding values by owners who appreciate taking good care of their equipment.
