I drove into Toronto yesterday to shoot a bit, and this time decided to use my trip as an excuse to visit five different coffee shops that I keep meaning to try.
For those who live in the GTA, my top two were Subtext and Boxcar Social. A pic from each below, shot with my Nikon Zf + 40mm f1.2 for Z-Mount (both shot, coincidentally, at f4.0).
I’ve been a bit obsessed with my APO lenses recently, but shooting with the 40mm-only reminded me of how much I love the rendering of this 40mm gem:

Number 2 is gorgeous! Color, framing, composition, use of negative space. Wow.
