"warm sells", not so sure burnt-orange does. #2/3 have significant oddness in the facial skin tone. It's quite a bit too warm and quite a bit too green. I would , in lightroom, do about -20 on temp and +30-40 on tint.

The green is from the grass. You could try throwing a large black towel where the subject is sitting, mostly in front of her; not sure it would do the job given the location, but it might help.

She is a beautiful natural looking young woman! Your 1st and last are excellent. I agree about the yellow cast in the other images. Not sure why it is there. Did you notice the cast in the viewfinder? Could be a white balance issue or artificial lighting??
Are the out-of-the-camera files the same? Try changing the kind of lighting exposure in your processing workflow.
Just suggestions...
Dan

Yes I do notice that color cast and I'm going to remove it... I was using a gold reflector and it must've weirdly combined that with the hazy sunlight(smoke) and grass all into an odd color cast..will work on removing that...

There are out of the camera JPEGs so no processing at all.
I did notice that but was hard to see on the viewfinder...it was also quite bright where it was ...

the sun was at 11AM behind the person and I was using a gold reflector to mask all the shadows it caused...the fill light was just too stark...didn't like it at all. I'm going to remove the color cast and see what happens....

You have a "handle" on the issue!

You need to be shooting in RAW + JPEG or just RAW with the 5D. When you say "viewfinder". do you mean LCD preview or viewfinder? Since the 5D is optical, any setting problems will not be visible.

Time of day is important and 11:00 AM is not optimum. Golden hour is better when the light is softer.

It will also help if you get a WhiBal white balance card and a X-Rite Color Passport and use them to set a custom white balance.

Also, having the camera below eye level in the two rail photos is not the best angle for portraits. Furthermore, her face shape makes straight on shots less flattering then have her turn a little. She would also benefit from short lighting. Catchlights indicate in one of the photos that she was broad lit.

Few responses... yes I was dumb and forgot to switch back to RAW and JPEG.
Shooting through the eye piece...I'm old..for me that is the viewfinder...the other is the LCD display
11AM was the best we could do unfortunately...earlier and later was not an option and it had rained the previous 3 days...

appreciated..

I shoot thru the vf always. Cant get used to "live view". Just me...

Yes to "dmac's" comment on shooting raw.
I find I can control the editing more in a raw format then convert to jpeg later.

I have found that the 5D is still a most excellent body.

No one is "dumb" here! You just forgot. I am olde also so we can blame it on that!
Good luck!
