Lexar 4TB SSD $198
I purchased the relatively affordable 4TB Lexar NM790 M.2 2280 PCIe Gen 4×4 NVMe SSD, *With sequential read up to 7400MB/s, sequential write up to 6500MB/s on compatible Gen 4x4 computers

*I formatted the Lexar SSD to Apple APFS ( GUID)

On my Mac Studio M1 Ultra computer via the Thunderbolt 4 port, I'm seeing slightly faster speeds than my much more expensive 8TB OWC Thunderblade external SSD (and of course no SoftRAID annual ransom) and much faster 3x than my 4TB Sandisk Gen 2 external SSDs.

No. This one just caught my eye as it stated first USBC 4 drive.

I'm opting for the hyper. Found it to be essentially the same capability in a cleaner package
