On Wednesday I headed to Mount Assiniboine. I could not find anyone else so I booked the helicopter and the campground.
Whew was it chilly at night for my preparation and dark. And after they told me there were 5 grizzlies active in the area, I did a whole lot of talking to myself on the trail
himurak: Glad you like the painting style. It was a very foggy morning with the mountain only becoming available for brief 45s periods as the clouds rolled in and out at Sunburst Lake. I hiked up and set up my lightweight helinox chair and just waited for the opportunities. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
pixelpreaching: The were taken with R5, RF 24-105 stm, and one [Magog Lake and Cerulean Mt] with Laowa 12mm (and 10 stop nd). I walked about 20km this day up and down and needed the weight savings. Glad you like the colours. It is my favourite time of the year in my favourite spot. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
kcook11: Glad you like the colours and composition. I struggled with the compositions because they were more attacking to portrait mode which I don't do as much of. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
junglialoh: Glad you like the gorgeous views. It is my favourite fall spot in the world. Larch trees and mountains and reflections. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
mike reid: It was a perfect day for colours - fog, a bit of clouds and glorious colour. Lake Ohara is one of my favourites but you were lucky to get into it and unlikely that it was cloudier. Glad you like the colours. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
scottsoutter: Lake Magog is a large lake and perfectly situated in front of Mount Assiniboine, with Larch and Pine trees and a reflection. It's a rare day when you can see the top of Assiniboine because it is so high and there are some clouds in the sky and it's calm enough for reflection. It drains underground to Lake Og. Picture number 2 is Sunburst Lake looking directionally south onto Mount Strom at Sunburst Peak. Sunburst peak is smaller mountain than Mount Assiniboine (the largest in the area) but it is close in and until you climb high on another mountain it looks massive compared to Mount Assiniboine. Glad you like Magog (7) and Sunburst Peak reflection (2). I brought my 12mm lens with (2) in mind. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott

Nice images. I've wanted to get up to Canada to see these mountains in person. Hopefully next summer.
Assiniboine is one of the nicest places to visit. It's about 23km in or $400 return in helicopter. But you need reservations to get a ticket on the helicopter.
zuru: Glad you like the colours. There was lots of fog and clouds and this just felt closer to experienced. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
msmaiullah: Glad you like the fog in the first pictures. It is a beautiful spot about 15 minutes up the hill from the campground. Glad you like the 1st. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
jaggedhorizon: Glad you like the colours and Lake Magog. Thanks for the feedback. Much appreciated. Scott
