Excellent shots recently! I've been shooting for a while and it's so nice to see the level we can reach with relatively affordable glass these days. Looking at images from the best lenses in this class feels the same as looking at a 500 f/4 thread back in the day.

And even more remarkable, one of the best lenses in this class sells for $1700 Believe me, if I could somehow justify a 600 F4 TC , I'd die a happy man But I'm retired, no pension, and live in a 140 year old house that always needs something. I'm not going to dip into my savings by buying a $14000 lens to take photos of birds that no one cares about. To be able to go out and take some photos when I get the chance, and come back with something acceptable is more than enough for me at this point in my life.
