Lots of nice images in this thread. For those who have/had a 500 pf, how does the AF compare? My 500pf rarely leaves my Z9, it’s super easy to carry around, and takes the 1.4E III very well. But, I am wanting something new to play around with and I am thinking about this lens.

Nothing scientific on my end, but subjectively I think my 500pf is just a tad faster to AF. That said, the versatility of my 180-600 has replaced the 500pf on my Z9. Was hesitant to get it at first, but glad I did, as it covers the focal lengths I need, and is a nice sharp lens as well.

If you feel that it’s faster, or just as fast as the 500pf, I think it’s worth it try. Thanks for your input.

Looking forward to contribute in this thread soon. Just pulled the trigger for the lens, for my work shooting triathlons and some off season bird photography....something I used to do years ago when I was shooting Canon with a 1dmarkIII + 500L.
