@fredmiranda@ Any updates on the e43 thread mount adapter? Also do you have a link to the one you purchased? Curious as I'd love to have a screw on filter for my v2.
Hi there,
I purchased it on eBay. Just search for "Customized Leica Steel Rim front rim for Leica 35mm Summilux 1.4 Pre-Asph V2".
I haven't tried it yet since my lens is currently in for a CLA. I'm not sure when I'll get it back, but I'll update the thread with my thoughts once I do.

Any update on the v2 filter thread mod? I’d love to be able to use a screw in on my v2.

Honestly, it's a mess. It was expensive and poorly designed. The included screws didn't thread properly and wouldn't hold the chrome ring securely. I'm currently trying to re-thread the holes and use different screws to see if there's any way to salvage it. But at this point, I'd recommend not investing in it.

Bummer. Thanks for the update—please let me know if you find a way to do it…
Apparently, the carrier has been unable to deliver the package. I've reached out to them for clarification. If it eventually arrives, I'll provide an update.

Update: I finally received the replacement steel ring and it works perfectly! It attaches cleanly to my Leica 35mm f/1.4 Summilux‑M (the pre-ASPH version with the brass tab) and it's compatible with all the pre-asph copies made after the original steel-rim model. In essence, it mimics the original steel rim black barrel look (similar to Leica's re-released version). I’m able to attach 43 mm filters with zero vignetting. I'll post some pictures later on.
I used this setup for some Halloween shots today: a Leica 35/1.4 Summilux (pre-asph) with the custom steel front ring, topped with a Leica 43mm UV filter, all adapted to my Sony A7CR Kolari using the Techart LM-EA9 AF adapter.

Are you still able to use the push-on cap? Looks great
