p.1 #1 · Voigtlander NOKTON Vintage Line 50mm f/1.5 Aspherical II
Either I'm terrible at using the search function or this lens hasn't got its own topic here?
Does anyone have any shots to share or any thoughts to share? I'm expecting it to be nearly 50 lux asph performance but with worse vignetting but any insights or comparisons would be appreciated.

After having used both:
Voigtländer is way sharper, especially off center at portrait distances but also at infinity and has better flare resistance.
Leica does have less (optical) vignetting, less focus shift and CA.
My main argument in favor of the Voigtländer lens would be the much smaller size and weight being a much better fit to the M system though.
But as I already know: for the Leica fans even the slightest advantage in only one area will be more than enough to fabricate
arguments why the Leica lens is vastly superior, be it the shape of the focus tab, the color of the font or whatever else comes to mind

Oh yes, Leica do many things right but value is not one of them. Having owned a 50 lux asph in very keen to try this Voigtlander!
The focus shift sounds frustrating though, I loved my C-Sonnar but the focus shift got a bit annoying. I've got an astigmatism in my older age and it makes the rangefinder hard enough.
