See the post above by 'wsbrown'. On his recommendation I have some shims ordered that hopefully will solve my star issues - yes, most likely backfocus spacing. I think I have some calipers in the garage, my husband uses them when changing brakepads...nope not the right kind of caliper lol.

Here's the results of 10hrs imaging the North American Nebula in narrowband, NGC7000. Over two days August 1st and 4th. I posted it before, but took it down to try to work on the stars. They still don't look good. I'll get those shims installed and hopefully it will stop raining soon!

Everytime I look at an image after I'm done, I want to do more editing...

Seeing your last 2 images just reminds me how far astrophotography has come, for the "common person", since I left. 1990's.
Send the rain to Mary-land Leah. We need it and then post your results.
