Thanks a bunch Karl. The gardens are huge and I am usually the only one around the ponds and lakes growing dozens of varieties.
With the high heat, no rain,(drought) the giant lotus's are huge and shades of red and pink I have never seen before.

For you I will post some more of what the grounds and its individual growing ponds look like. It borders the Potomac River so water is never a problem. Despite we are in an extreme drought condition.

This snapping turtle was moving from 1 pond to another. His jaws will take a finger clean off! He was HUGE!

It is one lone spot of paradise! The colors of the various water lilly's and giant lotuses are very intense this year. There are about 50 , maybe 100ftx100ft, growing 2 different types of water lillies in each.
