LuckyStrike88 Thank you for the comments. Screech owls are one of the cutest little creatures you will come across.
Morris thank you those are two of my favourite as well
John thanks. as you well know the little ones are really neat.
Karl thanks, it was really dark before the sun comes up watching these little guys buzz around as they are getting ready to roost and hide for the day while the robins are harassing them. Thank goodness for these modern cameras iso 12,800 f2.8 @1/15 sec with a mono pod and a subject that will sit very still
I absolutely LOVE these, Dave! You and your gear did a great job with these endearing family photos.
For the prior two years, I had the unbelievable pleasure of watching a nesting pair of E. screech owls from my living room in the suburbs! I do have pictures of them and their owlets, taken very discretely from just outside my house. Due to both private land and not wanting to give their location away, I never got any closer. At some point, I'll post a few, but I am absolutely smitten by these owls.
Fantastic set Dave. They are so cute. Love every image but really enjoyed #4. The earthworm helps me with scale as I have never seen a Screech Owl in the wild. Backgrounds are beautiful. Voted !
Wow, those big pupils in those fabulous captures are mesmerizing, Dave! What was the ISO setting on those? I love them all but the first one and #4 are my picks.
Joshua thanks for looking. You have to walk in the woods before the sun comes up and just hope you get a little light before they roost. These were ISO 12,800 f2.8 @1/15 sec.
