Regrettably, the MS Optics 28/1.7 or f/2 lens didn't quite suit my preferences. Despite enjoying using it, the pronounced field curvature in the rendering introduced unpredictability, leading to certain images not appearing right to me. As a result, I followed Bastian's recommendation and opted for the 24/2 Aporia lens instead, which, based on the wide-open sample shots, appears to be more to my liking.

Are you returning it to JCH from whence it came?

I don't blame you because in use it seems so random where it will be sharp.

My lens cap Lomo Minitar is garbage, but it is garbage I can use. I know it will be sharp in the middle, and get smeary to the outside. The wider/bigger the aperture, the more smeary and vignetting. But it was 'only' $250. The MSO 28? Just a mess... for a whole lot more $$$.

And again, it is so weird because the MSO 24 looks great for what it is!

Yes I returned it to JCH. They charge a bit more but lenses are inspected for defects before shipping and customer support has been outstanding from my experience.
