One of my last sequence of shots of this anomaly arrival Rufous Hummingbird. He arrived on September 10th and last seen on the 16th. Here on Vancouver Island, I often see juvi Rufous into early September but adults are very rarely observed past early July. This little Titan had an injury around his right eye that cause feather loss and swelling.. but towards the last time I saw him his eye was 3/4 open and his activity was as fast as one might expect from this species.
