Nice tones with your converted camera Gabe - I might be temped to convert a XT-5 after the Xpro-4 is launched.
Weather here is also stuck in a pattern with more clouds than ideal.
What was the 35mm you found well suited for IR ? 7A or TTA ?
My shots were jpegs from the camera with only a little adjustment on an ipad.
In camera settings were Br H+2.5 S+2.5 Sharp+2 Clarity +3

Ok, I actually thought you might be using camera jpegs because I noticed the same thing with an XF 27mm f2.8 WR I recently got rid of. That lens had very blatantly obvious hotspots at all apertures with raw files, however if I used jpegs out of the camera somehow the hotspotting was suppressed relatively well via the in-camera processing.
I noticed the same thing with the CV 27mm and actually around f4.0 (with raw data) the hotspotting starts to show up but not in the jpegs from camera. So its nice to have that option occasionally, but often I like to process my own raw images anyway.
I would say for me its worth having the conversion done. My previous camera system before switching to Fuji I also had an older body converted so I definitely prefer conversion because its so nice to be able to do hand held IR. Since my switch to Fuji is relatively recent ( within the last year ) I have also switched my processing software and thus workflow. Previously was using LR and when processing IR I would use a bit of PS. As you can imagine, its been a bit of a learning curve finding what works best for me with Fuji.
Regarding my IR lens its neither 7A or TTA...its a Meike and its fully manual, its small, no hotspots but like many Chinese manual lenses it focuses past infinity so one has to really check focus with it. I will say that is one big plus for the CV 27mm in this regard because infinity actually means infinity.
I just posted an IR image with the Meike over in the IR thread if you want to have a look...here is the link
These really highlight the capabilities of this small wonder of a lens...I particularly like the image rendering of images 1,4,10. #10 also demonstrates that unique 3D pop characteristic to Voigtlander lenses
In the next weeks, I'll be on a trip where I can really use this and my newly acquired Voigtlander 35mm/1.2...so hopefully I can get a few nice results as well.

Thank you! I should be getting a Voigtlander 35mm f/1.2 X-mount for review soon!

Hey that's great! I'll be looking to see that. I have just wrapped up my trip to NM where I only took the CV 27mm/2, CV 35mm/1.2 and a Zeiss 50mm/2.8 macro.
Would have been awesome to have had that CV 50mm/1.2 for the ultimate travel kit but since It'll be released very very soon I'll have it on the next trip
I'll look forward to adding some 35mm/1.2 samples to your review thread!

I just received the CV 35/0.9, 50/1.2 and 35/1.2 X-mount lenses for review! Not sure where to start!
I tried it out, and just like with the X-Pro3, the X-E4 has a perfect hard stop with the Voigtlander 27mm f/2 Ultron X. For now, I'll be reviewing X-mount lenses on the latter. Using the Fuji thumb grip makes it easier to hold the CV 35/0.9 lens on this small camera, and it doesn't feel too bulky or heavy while shooting. The CV 50/1.2 X-mount and the CV 75/1.9 M-mount have the same weight, and their focal length and depth of field are also similar. However, the 50/1.2 X Nokton lens is physically wider to accommodate the f/1.2 aperture, but it's shorter than the 75/1.9 Ultron.

Lol I don't think there can be a bad order to proceed in with those

Glad to hear that about the 50/1.2 with respect to the 75/1.9 ...yeah its a bit wider(got some nice glass in there) and stylistically a little different but doesn't matter to me in the least since the weight and general size is still nice and portable.
Any idea when the 50/1.2 is coming stateside...I really want one before my mid October trip?

I'm planning on starting the 50/1.2 X-mount review this weekend.
Hello Fred, this is my first post here in the forum - thank you very much for the great review of the Voigtländer 27mm! I have the lens on my X-E4 for a few weeks and am absolutely thrilled with this combination - perfect for my street photography. My question - will you also test the Voigtländer 23mm 1.2 for Fujifilm X? Best, Martin

Wonderful, thank you!
I have worked and experimented with many systems and lenses. But the manual Voigtländer lenses for Fujifilm are something special. And I especially love the light and compact 27mm Ultron on the X-E4. But as you wrote in your review - an 18mm f2 pancake would be very nice, too. The 23mm f1.2 also seems interesting to me. And the biggest advantage - the lens is there and you can buy it, while at the moment you can only dream of the 18mm Ultron...
I know Voightlander has a history of making good lenses and all, and I can see how a 27mm f/2 lens has its appeal (despite lacking AF capability?), but as I look through this threads photographs I'm having a bit of an "Emperor's New Clothes" reaction.
There are, of course, some very nice photographs in the mix. However, to an observer who has no skin in the game it is pretty hard, going on impossible, to see any photographic evidence of the optical better-ness of this lens compared to, say, the Fujifilm 27mm f/2.8.

End contrarian alert.
If there are any differences, they are probably hard to spot on screen/web display here. The Fuji is a pretty good lens. I'd mainly be interested in the Voigtlander for its F2 capability, not any special magic.
