Great pics Gregg..
I am going to be in Yosemite October 19 for 5 days, first visit ever. Plan to do some hiking and photography.. Downloaded Micheal Frye's photo app. Any other resources to help plan?
Thanks.

You're all set. Yosemite Valley is relatively small. You'll be done with it in one or two days.
Mike's app helps for sure. But, just drive around the loop road and you'll get the best shots from the place.
Also, I'm sure you'll see a lot of photographers so if you're not sure where to go, stop where they are

Keep a watch out for discussions of fall colors in the Eastern Sierra. October 19 is likely somewhat late for the peak of the aspens but highway 120, the Tioga Road, can get you to Highway 395. This might allow you to chase color north/south or up higher in the different side areas. Even if not great for color, you can still get to Mono Lake and perhaps Bodie, a state park ghost town. You can do a web search on both and get plenty of information.
