To maintain fitness, my son plays Australian Football League (AKA Aussie Rules) in NZ in the rugby off-season. It is a marvelous game, played across nearly 3 rugby fields, very aerial and requiring much athleticism and fitness. The large field makes the 800pf a great lens for shooting the game. Here is a selection from the recent season's final, shot with Z9, 800pf and Tamron 150-500.
A family of welcome swallows recently hatched a brood in a nest under an upstairs patio at our home. Yesterday the parents were bringing insects to the youngsters. Very poor light so stratospheric ISO's but LR Denoise has rescued at least something.
All taken with 800pf on Z9 using auto capture.
Some of these were a bit tight so I tried Photoshop's generative expand on them. OMG.
One of my favorite Images from 2024. I never thought we would get to see the northern lights like this in NY. Taken on a Nikon Z8 with Nikon 14-24mm f2.8 G:
