My first decent photos of a Yellow Thornbill - a tiny bird barely the size of my thumb. Even though I was close to MFD of the 800mm PF, these still needed decent crops! I was just in the right spot at the right time as today I was there again and not a Yellow Thornbill to be seen.
first shot with my Z8. Out my window and I think I was getting heat haze from the warm house to cold out side so not horribly sharp/.
AF is freaking sick on this thing! I'm a believer. lol

It is with great sadness that we had to bid farewell to our old and faithful friend Douglas this morning. He was a great friend and inseparable from my wife who is quite stricken by his passing. (Cross posted in Cat thread. IIRC the middle image may be from Z6 so a mis-post on that particular criteria)

We have four and there's always been at least two, and over 39 years of marriage we have lost 9 kitties. I feel your sorrow, as we've been there so many times as well.
still just testing out what the 35/1.4G is good and bad at...not bad at much!
