Layne is a model who I like to collaborate with a couple times a year when our schedules align. He has a skill for emoting to the camera, which always results in some very evocative portraits. This is my favorite from our most recent shoot. "Painterly" is used loosely in the thread title. To me the lighting and toning resemble classical portrait paintings.
