Outstanding shots! The fifth one where he's looking right at you with that piercing stare in particular is captivating.

I occasionally hear owls outside where I live, but I almost never see them. Any pointers on how to find them?

These are absolutely beautiful. Number 5 is the first among equals for me in this set.

Now on a personal note, I learned a new word a few days ago when reading about owls. I've just been itching for an excuse to use it. So here it is: plumicorn. This GHO has beautiful plumicorns.

Killer shots ! I have been hunting GHO nest for the past few weeks. None of the ones I have seen look as beautiful as this one. Beautiful subject, awesome shots ! I don't know what that moss ( for lack of a better word ) in the pine tree is , but I love it
