Some favorite captures from the northern lights taken on 3/23/2023. These were taken at Split Rock Lighthouse on the north shore of Lake Superior. It was an unbelievable night. The show started right after dusk and photographed from a single spot for more than four hours! The lights were all around us . . . a 360 degree view and also directly overhead. We were even able to hear the northern lights which I can only describe as a faint sparkly, crunchy, static sound.
Absolutely jaw dropping! Love the way you described it. Just showed the set to my wife, as it's one of our dreams to experience this glory first hand. You definitely have my vote this week!

Always wanted to witness these. These images just push me even harder to get to see them while still able to travel. But these are truly spectacular and I am sharing them with family.
