Blows my mind that this stuff isn't photoshopped in. Great work
The camera does a much better job at picking up the colors than the human eye. My mind was blown watching this show. All that was spoken during the night was, "Damn" and "Oh my god"
Just a phenomenal composition Bob!
I just can't imagine what was rushing through your mind when this celestral event was happening! Your photography here is fantastic!! To me, everything set "dead on"!
The members expressing their aweness(?) sez it all!
When my family lived in Iowa, we had a cabin on Lk. Vermillion and I remember seeing the aurora many times. Even once here in Maryland. But nothing close to what you have captured!
Just super!

Thanks Dan - for 4+ hours the only words said were "Look over there" and "O.M.G"
Bob,
These are absolutely amazing! I know exactly where you were, as I've stood at that location dozens of times... but never seen the aurora on the North Shore.
Bravo for you, as these are some of the nicest auroras I've ever seen taken in the lower 48.
A well deserved "Thread of the Week!"
