I got real lucky a few weeks ago while shooting SEO's, I was standing in the right corner of the field at the right time when an SEO came down in front of me and nailed a vole. I was in a position to capture most of the action, here's a few from that action sequence.
Man, I'm jealous. Great shots. I go out regularly in my neck of the woods for SEOs, but like all the photographers around here are disappointed at how far away the owls are.

Awesome set! Glad the stars and moon aligned for you on this series! I've finally found an area where one SEO hunts...but he likes to only show 30 minutes after sunset versus 30 minutes before sunset. Been trying to figure out how to hack his nocturnal alarm clock and get him to hunt earlier than later. Regardless - thanks for sharing your success!
