To clarify what i mean by moderately used: The lens has been used but it does not have any major physical damage and the lens element do not exhibit any major scratches. The rotating front element is slightly loose as per normal and the lens mount has a few minor abrasion marks because it is made of plastic. I would rate this lens as 8+. Basically slightly used but no optical inperfection.
*edited to change price and add Hoya Circ Polarizer to make this deal more sweet
*edited to add photo link

I'm not interested in purchasing this lens, but I'm dying to ask:
Does being a non-smoker appreciably change what you can expect get for used equipment?
I mean, I smoke . . .
But I don't blow smoke into my camera bag -- which is where my gear spends most of its life. Nor do I use my lens caps for ashtrays, or smoke *while* cleaning my lenses, etc.
I'm used to seeing this used as a selling point for used cars, apartment rentals, etc. But this is a first for me -- seeing it as a selling point for camera gear.
Previously there were a few buyers who complained that the lens they bought smelt of cigarette smoke, thus the disclaimer these days. Also, the smoke *might* get into the coating of the glass elements and thus discolor it...

I have seen other sellers leave that comment when they sell their lenses, and I thought it was the norm. Anyway, really interesting... I have yet to see anyone use their lens cap for a ashtray!!!
