Fantastic set - each a print worthy portrait. Like others said I can't tell flash or not, but they all work. I envy the colorful hummers. The guys at our feeder here in western WA are pretty dull.

Very nice. I mostly prefer the natural light shots. The flashes might make the hummingbird look *slightly* better, but they make the foliage look much worse (imo).

Thank you so much, you have to come to South America, we have many species for you, regards

Thank you so much for your comments, cheers my friend.

This is a stunning set Javier. There are a couple where the flowers seem to have caught too much light yet the bird looks fine in the image.
I used to do a lot of flash work yet recently it's been mostly natural light for me. I'm just starting my journey with humming birds and have tried both ways. I can't say I have a preference.

Hello Dave, thank you so much for your kind words.
Sapphire-vented puffleg's photo is in natural light.
Cheers,

Regardless of how you illuminated them, these are all superb images.
I cannot tell which are flashed and which are natural light, and that is as it should be.
I usually like a small amount of wing blur when the bird is flying, so that favors natural light.
I also don't like the sparkle that sometimes shows up in flashed photos.
These are all beautiful images. My favorite is the sapphire-vented puffleg.
Is that natural light or flashed? Looks natural to me.

Great set of images.
I feel the images without the flash are the best. The glare from the flash on the flowers is a distraction [feels a bit artificial - set up in a lightbox] at least for me.

What's that song by Robbie Nevil...
I wanna be just like you!
Absolutely beautiful pictures and the names for the birds are so great.
This spring I want to plant as many flowers to attract hummers for picture taking and coffee in the morning. Very nice work and the pictures are amazing.
