I tried using the pre-ASPH at a wrestling tournament. For this purpose the Sonnar was better suited, but it was still fun to give it a go.
These were all part of a very wealthy clients extensive American automobile collection. 74 in all. He owned an old movie studio here in Chicago to store an photograph his collection in. The lighting was 4 4801 black line Speedotrons with 4 heads each in a 10ft X 30ft overhead soft box.
He hired me to shoot the collection and because of my schedule and some of the cars being loaned out to shows and museums it was a 4 year process and I still didn't get the entire collection photographed. After every couple of cars we had to repaint the floor. He has since passed away and the future of the collection is not completely clear.
