Now that's a place I've never seen in a photograph before, certainly never in person. Would never have guessed that was Hawaii. Great job conveying the wind-swept feel of the environment.
What a stunner! Thinking about Hawaii I always have green in my head. This is new to me!
The picture is perfect as is. But I just wonder if you have another version with the lower camera ? I just wonder if the hill behind the tree shows more.
Thank you so much everyone for your comments and complements! I truly appreciate them. They mean a lot to me.
It's really true about "being in a right place at a right time" although it took me 3 visits during the same trip to get the right composition and light I wanted.
It was very windy. You can easily see by the shape of tree.
I quote this from the internet "Not only is it the southernmost point, but it is also the coolest point in the country. The best part of South Point isn’t the point itself but rather the cliffs leading up to the point. If the water is calm, it’s one of the most incredible cliff jumping experiences in the entire country. This is one of those spots where it feels like you are literally jumping off the edge of the world". Sorry Michael! I didn't jump the cliff
Jim...Thank you for the suggestion! I tried to get as low as I could but there's a fence in front of the camera.
