This sequence was taken at Nickerson Beach the other day. I was sitting on the sand with the lens braced on my knee while using he LCD turned to a convent position to compose when the action started. The low angle resulted in some frames with the subject obscured and shooting at 40 FPS resulted lot of frames so I'm showing my choices to tell the story.
Comments and suggestions welcome,
Morris

Great action shot of wildlife, this type of image is too often overlooked for feature thread votes, your image is amazing, shows multiple shots of the sequence, all in sharp focus and got my vote.
As others have mentioned an excellent sequence of actions and interactions of the owner and the thief I once again commend you on your level of quality displayed in the whites of the gull Morris, really a great set!
I was inspired by the amazing shots Morris has taken and I got the XH2S and and use the Fringer with the Nikon 500 PF ( which I already had )I am using the settings suggested by Morris and although early days I am finding the focus for BIF works well
I sometimes find the shots at ISO 3200 a bit noisy but I love the camera and am happy with the focus. This is my first post here and I am tryin to post an example but not sure how to set that up in this forum using the URL
Thank you Ken,
I have to thank the participants for the great opportunity

You captured an excellent sequence, Morris but I feel sorry for that poor oystercatcher…. Oh, well, such is life there, I guess.
Joshua
Thank you Joshua,
I could feel the oystercatcher's frustration as I took that last photo of it

Thank you Peter,
All you need is a little noise reduction and ISO 3200 looks great

Love the story this series tells, though it's hard to root for the gull. Thanks for sharing.
