There are a couple of tempting lenses in that group, but I keep asking myself, "do I really need yet another 50 mm lens, even if it's the BEST 50 out there".
Seriously, a couple of lenses on the list would be great to have, and at least 2, I already have, so this isn't going to help me much.
I also picked up the RF 100 Macro. It's my second time purchasing...and while I have experienced the focus shift issue that is present on both copies, I believe I've discovered a workaround. Setting SA control to +0.5 (or very slightly beyond) seems to eliminate the focus shift in the situations where it occurs.
Some of these reductions go far beyond what the dollar has done. I think Canon overpriced some of these lenses and are making adjustments to bring them back to reality.

Absolutely. Especially on the two f/4 zooms, which are great lenses, but just a bit too highly priced. I wish this rebate were available on the 14-35 when I bought it this summer. The 70-200/4L is a great lens, and so small, but I already have the f/2.8 version and have no need for the slower lens.
After resisting the temptation to move to RF glass for over 2 years, they finally got me to cave on the 14-35 at this "more reasonable" price.
They'd be able to take even more of my money if they would have done the same on the 100-500.
Fingers crossed that it might happen soon, but I'm not holding my breath.

Does someone know when this sale ends ?
I don't know for sure, but Canon often does these deals for around a month. No guarantees of that, though. B&H Usually puts an 'instant savings expires' when we are close to the deal ending.

To me, Canon's RF L lens prices are all just different shades of outrageous.
Will be interesting to see how the brand holds up over time, especially since Canon has decided to shut out third-party lens makers. If I were a new buyer deciding between, say, Canon, with its closed lineup, and Sony, with its own lenses and many from third parties, the choice would be pretty easy now.

Guess you're the glass half empty type and note the stuff you can't have. The reality is you can use the EF to RF adapter for any old EF or EF-S mount lens, including those from Sigma, Tamron, Tokina, Samyang and many others. More lens choices than most mere mortals can fathom. If you like vintage glass, there are adapters for that as well. I'm still using long discontinued EF lenses from the early 1990s on my R and R7 and they AF better than they ever did on my prior film and digital SLRs.
I am heavily invested in Nikon Z
But could not resist Canon RF 70 - 200 f/4 for my "lucky scored price " - $1449 ( a little bigger discount )
I don't need hundred lenses like like some people say Sony is offering ...
I like Canon lens choice and lack of Nikon offering of 70 - 200 f4 make me buy Canon lens ( I just need to choose body now )
Call me crazy but I don't want any Tamron, Sigma or other brand lenses. Luckily everyone is free to buy whatever they like

I can be sympathetic to this from those based outside of the US (where local taxes, exchange rates, or VAT may impact pricing), but from where I sit in the States, I honestly don't see the supposed "outrageous" markup that Canon is charging for RF lenses (compared to its direct competitors).
On B&H for example, here are the current prices for the f/2.8 standard zooms:
- Canon RF 24-70mm f/2.8 L IS USM $2,399
- Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM II $2,298
- Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S $2,396
The RF is the only one of these lenses that has IS, by the way, which directly adds to its value.
Sure, these prices are all hundreds of dollars more expensive than the same DSLR lenses, but this cost delta is not unique to Canon. All manufacturers are raising prices to maintain profitability in a shrinking market.
A quick check of other high-end lenses reveals that the top full frame brands seem to be within $100 of each other on most items.
