Depending on where you bought it, they may still give you the discount.
B&H did this for me. I just bought mine last week and submitted for the price adjustment, got it no questions asked. I think they generally give it to you if you’re within the return window.
Canon UK recently started another cashback offer - see link. Specifically on 100 - 500 the offer is GBP 300 cashback, which gives a price of GBP 2,679. This, depressingly, converts to USD 3,244 at todays rate of 1.21
I was informed that this is in advance of price rises due in April. So, I held my nose and bought the 100 - 500.
That the purchase also involved me giving Canon a bank account number to process the rebate was also disturbing.
The cash back ranges between $50-100 and is on top of discounts running concurrently. Both expire March 30th. For example, the R5 is $500 off in-store and an additional $100 cash back rebate from Canon, processed separately. Not sure why they have to make this two-stage, other than it's an opportunity to gather more buyer information for future marketing purposes.

By way of update; initially I was informed that I had not given correct information to allow the offer to be processed. The serial number of the qualifying camera purchased was required. I had cut and paste from my assets spreadsheet the serial number of my camera, however, this was rejected because the leading zero was truncated in the spreadsheet and this was rejected by the form provided by Canon. The error was "incorrect serial number" which left me to figure out what the problem was. Canon knows the serial numbers issued and whether they are at 11 or 12 digits. Further, a single line of code could have alerted me to the problem in real time......
The cashback has been paid, total time taken 42 days against expectations set of 4 - 6 weeks. Clunky, slow and a challenge to justify on the basis of information that was needed to process, but the process eventually worked.
More problematic is that we stand on the first of May and there is no sign of the price rises that were advised. Sales tactics?
