I visited Hawaii for the first time for three weeks in end-July - August, starting in Big Island. Although this was a family trip, my wife and older son are very understanding of my photography passion (and my younger son doesn't have a say just yet), so I had a fair few opportunities to chase the light.

I'm quite happy about the results!

(I'll do separate posts for the visits to Maui and Kauai)

Lovely, varied set! My favorite is the second one with the lava patterns in the flats and lava glow behind the peaks.
