I saw those on Amazon a while back. Only the clueless would fall for the capacities. Years ago tools like H2testw were developed to identify bogus USB flash drives and the scam continues.

EBH
Why should even the clueless suffer from fraud? Did you report this to Amazon? At least wallyworld pulled the ads.
Actually you can lose way more than $17. The SD can carry malicious software and once you plug it into the computer, can cause way more damage, and steal whatever you have saved on the computer too.

That being said any memory device or data transfer method like just being here is fully capable of introducing code to do nefarious work anywhere anytime.

Quoting that article When Ray received the drive, which he purchased via a similar listing on AliExpress,
he took it apart to find out what was going on, and it was about as bad as one might expect.
As shown in a Twitter thread, Ray found two glued SD cards inside the enclosure,
which looks like a typical portable SSD

That's one of the reason why I purchase from reliable source. When a on-line site starts to offer third parties it cast doubt of the of true of a product, especially when the price is more then half the price.
if you are going to try to give info try to give it accurately. 2 standard SD cards couldn't fit on that board. you'd be relatively happy i nit-pick in what do i used to do
