I think this is a Red-shouldered Hawk (elegans group) taken this morning in my back yard in redwoods country. Most of its tail hidden but very bottom has white band. A Viltrox 2.0 TC was attached. Comments welcome as I am not a regular birder.
Milking the same fence line for a small House Sparrow taken in 6pm warm light 15.9 meters away. I don't own a 1.4 TC so all I have is this cheap Viltrox 2.0, but it seems pretty good actually. I'm cropped down to 3/45 MP!

I saw this buck our household knows well but he'd been away for awhile but has returned this summer.
I was getting ready to go for an evening walk and shot this through my window, not expecting much. But despite that and ISO 20,00, I like it enough to share. He was 71 meters away

Out my back door is a private zoo where in the summer more than a dozen bucks & does congregate in the late afternoon for some apples and practice at bullying one another! Some I have seen for 3 straight years, others skip out most of the time or even skip a whole year.
This guy is looking at me from 36 meters away. The small Pacific Coast Mule Deer I see here have a variety of colors and this guy has a nice warmish coat. Most have a darker greyish coat like on my previous post.

This Raven needs to visit a "feather-dresser" - he's a little shaggy but I see the throat feathers which is why I think it's a Raven. Distance is 14 meters.
