We had a couple 35C+ days - from this evening walk once the outside became more manageable. I think I located a nesting spot for a family of red-tailed hawks + another unexpected encounter with a beaver (in a place I've never seen them before).
FYI - The Camera Store in Calgary hosted Brad Hill for a presentation on Nikon Z long lenses last night. At 1:01:05 he discussed in some detail the new Z 400/4.5 S you may have to click on the YouTube link -
Seeing these pictures with the 400 f/4.5 makes me more ecstatic that I pre-ordered it. Now it is just a waiting game. Love these shots and amazed at how well it does with the 1.4x TC attached.

Cheers. I'd say it's comparable with TC to 500 PF IQ wise (with better balance, slightly faster AF, synchro VR and it's 60mm longer.... at a cost of 1/3 stop).

WOW,quite impressive, I like the 1st one best.
Thanks very much Jerry. I was quite surprised to get the gannet diving as it was quite a way out and it was just with the bare lens. The image is cropped but not excessively so.
