Nothing spectacular about this shot, other than it was taken with the EF 100-400 L II with the 1.4X Mk III teleconverter, at ISO 8000. I cleaned it up easily with Topaz Denoise AI. I think it worked quite well...
What's an image thread without a moon pic? Handheld R7 with the EF 100-400L II, the 1.4X III teleconverter. Very steady on the IS. I was going to try with the 2X tonight, but the clouds have taken over the sky.
Back from safari in Kenya, canon got me 2 R7’s to shoot with and I decided to shoot exclusively with the R7 this trip. I used only the 100-500 and the 600 RF F4 for lenses so I had everything covered from a range perspective.
Only a few times I was left lacking, and it was only in very dark situations. Other than that it worked incredibly well. Loved how lite it is and for the money I don’t know how you beat it. Here are a few images. I took a lot of cats etc as well.
BTW DXO Pure Raw is your friend, especially with this camera.

Looking good Vince! Is the last one of the bee eater rolling shutter? Regardless, I like the effect. Sometimes rolling shutter is weird to me and other times, like in this case, I quite like it

Lol no funny enough it’s actually what it is doing with it’s wing in the turn. I do have a couple of rolling bee eaters however that are heart breaking shots hah. Would have been epic otherwise.
