In this post I am selling a lightly-used Canon EOS RP body for $625.
Since a buyer is buying the seller (and I am buying the buyer), I will give more specifics but I can also point you to my YouTube channel that shows why I originally made this purchase, and now no longer need it.
Like many academics, I had to rapidly move to online teaching in Spring/Summer 2020. I built a sophisticated setup (documented in YouTube videos) that was built around two Canon EOS RP cameras. At the time, only the R and RP were available and I picked the RP. The setup has continued to evolve, and right now I am using one Canon C70 and one Canon R5c. I am now getting around to selling some of the items I replaced in the studio.
List price $999

I learned from FM how to determine the run time of the C70 I am selling in another listing. I can't see a way to do something similar for the RP. My guess is it has taken less than 100 pictures but it was used for more than a year connected to my computer via an Elgato Cam Link 4K. So it was on and producing an image that was used by OBS, but I was not taking pictures with it. If there is a way for me to provide more specific metrics on the RP's usage history, I would be happy to do so.
I bought this new with the kit lens. I sold the kit lens when I sold a bunch of other stuff last summer. So it includes everything it came with at the time of sale, except for the kit lens.
I believe $625 net to me is a fair price for this RP.
While I assume the buyer will want the RP shipped, I live in the Boston area and could meet up in Boston or Cambridge. My price includes insured shipping.
