p.1 #1 · Those colorful little skittish Warblers from Magee!
Congratulations to Karl Witt for winning Feature Thread of the Week with 3 votes - View Previous Winners
It's always a challenge with the boardwalk at Magee Marsh in Ohio. It gets crowded, due to the severe storms last year there is a large amount of fallen trees and crushed brush along the boardwalk that is a bit more cluttered than in the past. But, you have plenty of people pointing and calling out birds so it is a great education! The birds move fast, it's easy to get a picture of where they were instead of where they are ........
Here is my variety of warbler species for a few day of shooting there and a special shout out to Dave N. from Texas I met for helping with bird ID and spotting out birds as we shot together and a hello to friendly gal from Chicago that I didn't get her name, darn . Always a pleasure to meet the nice folks up at Magee that come in from all over the world to see the warblers, vireos, flycatchers and much more
All shot with Sony A1 and 200-600 Sony. Lightroom and Denoise AI processing. All you see is what was there, nothing added, nothing missing
All C&C always appreciated and respected. Thanks for your visit!

Great set. I know how hard it is to get a unobstructed shot there. It looks like you did very well. These are beautiful. Looking forward to your next post
p.1 #7 · Those colorful little skittish Warblers from Magee!
Enjoyed this nice collection of these little birds that don't seem to like to stop for a pose!
#4 is a Magnolia Warbler
#7 is an interesting ID challenge. I would lean to a female Black-throated Green. Townsend's would be very uncommon at Magee.
Thanks for sharing these. It was a nice way to start my day.

Super variety and quality Karl. Love your compositions as well. So you got some empty frames, we all do :-} And those people that walk right up to your subject, grrrrrrrrrrrr. Going back through 1, 2 and 7 are the standouts

Oh what a gorgeous set Karl !!!! You put a huge smile on my face with these, thank you
No favorites as each one is a treat . However , 6 is too funny.
Gorgeous work, your comps and exposures are masterful. YGMV

Ohhhhh Birdie you are so kind Thank you as I am honored by your comments, many thanks! I think the B&W warbler watches the Nuthatch too much and tries to replicate that upside down is more the norm than right-side up
Take care
