I don't think they say "full time".
"NPS members must own a minimum amount of equipment,
which must include at least two qualifying Nikon digital cameras and two NIKKOR lenses" https://www.nikonpro.com/productlist.aspx

If you look at the link I provided under the heading About Admissions.
Q1: What are the requirements for NPS Membership?
To become a member of NPS, you should be a full-time professional photographer owning and using a certain amount of Nikon equipment. In addition, there are further membership requirements imposed by regional NPS organizations.
As I have stated, I tried to become an NPS member but even though I used my camera gear in my profession I did not qualify.
BS is suggesting members join NPS yet reading his profile says absolutely nothing about about being a full time or even part time photographer.
My question to him was how did you become an NPS members because I would love to be an NPS member myself. Instead he got all defensive and evasive.
Edit. BTW I own a Z7ii, a Z9 and Z14-20, Z24-70, Z70-200, Z100-400, 500PF and 800PF so I meet those requirements.

In 2021, I applied for NPS, giving details of my website and the fact that I am a part-time photographer, plus my gear details.
I owned a z6ii, z7ii, z 14-24mm f/2.8 S, z 70-200mm f/2.8 S, D750, 24-70mm f/2.8 G, SB-700, etc.
I was screened and invited to send in my formal application.
At the time, I was interested in it, purely to get ahead in the Z9 waiting list.
Afterwards, I realized that is not right, so I dropped it.
So, I don't think Nikon's very strict about the full-time part of it, as long as you
- earn income as a professional photographer
- can prove to them that you are not just a hobbyist clicker with a Flickr account, but that you
actually do shoots and make some income from photography
- have the gear to show that you're a serious Nikon shooter
From your website, it looks like you're a hobbyist (nothing wrong with it of course).
Which would indicate to Nikon that you're a serious amateur, but not an income-earning pro.

At the time I applied I was using my camera gear as part of my profession as a Control Systems Engineer and would take photographs of my systems to put on the company website. Because I wasn't a 'photographer' per se I did not qualify.
I would dearly love to be an NPS member so I asked the question of someone who claims to be an NPS member but quite obviously isn't a professional full time or otherwise.

Well, hello there! I see you but I guess you're not a threat. I will explore then take a nap! Apparently this fox kit that was about 30 or so feet in front of my didn't feel I was a threat! I love finding fox kits!

Love fox photos Eric!
Also, FWIW to the others waiting on their 800pf to ship, I got a credit card charge notice yesterday afternoon and a shipping notice in the evening. My lens showed up earlier today. I ordered the morning it was announced (from Adorama). Everything seems lovely so far - very excited to take it birding this weekend.

Been there done that and that's exactly why wildlife photography started to be an awesome pastime/side gig for me! Now that I'm retired I have a little more time!

Had a really good outing this morning. Finally some warblers & a yellow-headed blackbird. Swallows, wren, kinglets, bluebirds (finally got a shot of a female one). Good day!

Sandhill Cranes in their breeding plumage. These 2 have been here in central Delaware since June of 2022 and stayed the whole winter. They likely have mated here as I have caught the male courting with the dancing and stick throwing in video. I haven't seen them in a few weeks and thought maybe they moved on but I got my answer on this yesterday. The red mud is a red algae bloom. I I like it and think it adds a bit of rich texture and color
