Sean - "Early morning" in Reykjavík in December is at 11 am (sunrise on Dec 7) and sunset is just after 3:30 pm. Therefore the nice thing about shooting from mid-Nov to mid-Feb in these parts is, you don't have to get up early (assuming you are close to your shoot location). December is especially convenient because the sun stays close to the horizon all the while and the golden hour lasts a while. But you have to contend with the cold, the wind, and the unpredictability of Iceland's weather. No two days are the same.
