I was getting my 500 F4 prepped for sale and decided to look for some photos made using it. I found this series of an osprey fishing and thought I would go ahead and post it. The osprey seemed pretty proud of his catch and actually did a fly by so we could get a better view. Comments welcome.
This is an excellent set. I love no.2 for bird's position and the BG. But no.5 is hard to beat for position of the bird with the classic torpedo position of the fish. Well done.

Glad you enjoyed the series. The 500/4 seems light compared to the 600/4 vs II but I think the 600/4 vs III lost a couple of pounds and is closer weight wise to the 500. Unfortunately the 600 vsIII is pretty pricey.

Thanks for the comments. So glad you all enjoyed it. I got lucky on this one and saw him sitting in a tree so I was able to track him through the entire sequence.

Glad you enjoyed the series Karl! I was planning to send the link to any interested buyers. I am offering the lens for local sale first. I haven’t been using the buy & sell forum so I don’t have any rating feedback there so I am thinking that starting off with an expensive item would not be a good plan.

Wonderful and action-packed images, Phil! I enjoy all of them. Are you sure you want to sell that lens though after going through the images ? I know someone that may be interested in getting that lens just in case you do.

Thanks Joshua, I am so glad you enjoyed them. It is a little hard to put the lens up for sale but I pulled the trigger on an A1 and 200-600 last week and I am trying to thin out some of my Canon gear.
