These images were taken in Idaho county, Idaho where I live. The first image is of Highway 95 above White Bird and the remaining images are of Hell's Canyon at Pittsburgh Landing on the Snake River. Highway 95 runs through the Salmon River canyon, which is the 2nd deepest canyon in the United States and is only 30 miles or less from Hell's Canyon, which is the deepest canyon in the country, with the Grand Canyon being the 3rd deepest canyon.

Amazing set! My family is from Idaho and I'm hoping to get a chance to head back up there for some landscape shooting one of these days.
Thank you for your kind thoughts! Idaho is an amazing mountainous State. I hope that you get a chance to experience some of Her beauty!
Thank you so much, Joel, for your great comment and support! If you like canyons, mountains and rivers, then Idaho is the place to be! :-)) Have a great day!

Splendid locations. Some of these would be terrific compositions with a drone.
Thank you very much, Rajan! I do not own a drone, but I was just thinking about one this morning. Funny that you mention it! I would love to fly a drone over Hell's Canyon. Your drone photography is incredible!

I grew up in Idaho and drove that pass at least 50 times. You did it justice. I’m on the east coast now, but your pics made me a little homesick!
I'm glad that I could deliver a little of Idaho's charm to you. Thank you so much for your comment!

Davis, those are fantastic! I really like the road leading the viewer into the image. Well done 👍🏻
I appreciate your generous comment. Idaho has very few iconic features, like Utah, to focus on. The landscape is a conglomeration of extreme uplift and miles and miles of repetitive canyons, rolling mountains with some peaks and a multitude of swift moving rivers. It is exciting to experience and difficult to photograph, compared to the Southwestern U.S.
Thank you for your generous comment and support! This area of Idaho is considered a geologist's dream due to the extreme exposure of much of the rock from the deep canyons.
Thank you for your comment, Norm! I agree with you about removing the highway signs on #1, especially if I was going to print it. Many of the canyons in Idaho are so steep that the big rigs have a challenge descending them. I left the signs in to add context to the image in this regard. Have a great day!
Thanks for sharing. Don't think I could have closed my eyes and imagined anything close to what you captured if you asked me to envision Idaho. Great shots!
