I can't remember where, but I think a famous author once wrote, "How can you beat a country in which every teenage boy can fix a motorcycle."
I guess those sculptures are for tourists which are then charged for a closer look. Or not.
Cool images, Dan. Wonderful.
----"fa".-Omer-....Walker's Farm is a permanent fixture in my county. There is a pumpkin cannon there and they use the very large "transformer" looking structures as targets! They also have "stuff" like I posted. They try to change the "exhibits" and targets yearly.
Thanks!-----------------------------------------

Dan - what an amazing place, and you captured it so well! Thanks for sharing...is this a permanent exhibition or temporary?
"JH" it is permanent. The original owner I knew from childhood. About 20 years ago he decided to turn part of his corn fields into a Fall event. Pumpkin cannons shooting pumpkins at those "transformer" type structures or some car or boat on a 50' pedestal. Weekends it is crazy crowded!!! I go during the week. Not a soul around.---------------------------------------------

Excellent stuff and beautiful tones.
Thanks "TW"!
In color they are vibrant but something about BW. Especially for the "head"!
Thanks for the kind words!
Dan
"TW" Super work here! Beautiful young women. Excellent tones on varied subjects. Be advised that the "Weekly Assignment" is for "Street Photography". You, and the others posting here, lets get some entries posted in that contest!

Dan, your images from Walker’s Farm evoke bitter sweet memories of an event here in Colorado, the ArtoCade in Trinidad, Colorado. The city announced recently that the parade of art cars will cease and that even the ArtoCade Museum in the city will close. I had/maybe still do have hopes of visiting the museum when I visit the city early this October for a spaghetti western event there (The Colexico Experience). It is amazing what people will do to their cars (and what the Pandemic has done to our culture).

Charlie, I think I call it "the Bittersweet Symphony of Life"
Classic events seem to be falling by the wayside in recent years. I have my speculations as to why but not needed here.
It just prevents us photographers from "grabbing" another piece of our past life before it is ALL gone!
Thanks!

Thanks Dan.
I have to admit that in all these years I have never clicked on the assignment forums. I will take a look (but am generally more interested in photo discussions than contests).
