I'm very excited about this lens! I was out of the game for a little while and now upon my return there are so many new affordable options for lenses. They managed to make a more budget friendly lens look good as well.

Received my copy and so far very impressed by the look from the lens. It's soft, has CA, but the rendering is fantastic. The separation at decent distances is incredible, and environment portraits might be my favorite use case for it.
Curious if anyone has used this on a GFX system camera yet?
Looks like there is also a lens swing to the right just like that of @Ulysseita
Clouds are running over my head so it's quite hard to keep the same light between the shots.
I am quite confused about the behaviour of the new compared to the old, seems the focus plan is running back when closed on the aperture.
on A7r3, Techart (lm7, still perfect) and 50 1.1 at 1.1 and 2.0
to my eyes?
FABULOUS the rendition.
The background is a mess in that image, trees, fence, highlights from metal, and coloured metal.
Everything is butter.
And when the focus is nailed (thanks Techart, since 2018 my beloved solution), with the performances equal between m10r and A7r3, this lens shine even at 1.1 (harder on M10r).
At 2.0?
sharp and great bokeh.
This is at 2/4 meters.

It's probably a touch of focus shift due to spherical aberration. Contrast seems to really improve at f/2 and it makes the plane of focus more defined, therefore easier to see exactly where it is. Wide open there's probably some leeway with focus placement due to softening caused by SA.
Your photos above at the playground: was the shutter mode either full mechanical or electronic? Just trying to understand if it's the lens's natural rendering, or if there could be EFCS bokeh distortion in the mix.
I received my second replacement copy of the lens recently and it's much better than the first copy. The focus is pretty spot-on on my Leica M bodies from MFD to 5-mete but missed the infinity mark at open f-stop by just a bit. The replacement copy didn't have the tilt issue as the first copy. Overall, I am very happy with this lens. Here are few images taken this morning with M240 (all at f/1.1).
Announcement of a new version on the website with hood.
"We will release a new and improved version in December. The differences from the current version are:
In addition to the original black, silver will be added.
The new version is compatible with all Leica M system cameras. No additional adjustment is required between the film and the digital machine.
The new version will come with a shade
Note: The optical structure is the same as the old version and the new version, only the appearance is adjusted. The official price of the new version will be increased, and the original price of 399USD will remain unchanged during the pre-sale period."
