Just returned from a trip to Southern California to meet my newest grandson. I also found the time to get in some wildlife photography. Thanks again to fellow forum members I had an opportunity to observe and photograph Hooded Mergansers for the first time. These were taken on three different mornings with my Sigma 150-600 S. All comments and critiques appreciated.
Joshua, Bobby, and Luz, the pleasure was all mine
Gary
Gary, I am glad that we could get and shoot together again. It looks like the most recent trip was rewarding, huh? Those are wonderful and colorful images courtesy of our SoCal mergansers!

Great shots, nice clean bg. Nicely done.
This is an awesome set, Gary. Great action and technical execution but the lighting, water colors, and low POV really make them special. Really well done.
Awesome set, Gary! Been there a number of times and I have very little time show for! You lucked out … but it still takes a lot of skill to capture these sharp and well-exposed images at the peak of action. So kudos to you!
bad day to be a mud bug
I'll say. Pretty rough way to go. Get your pinchers chopped off and then swallowed whole. Yikes !
