I am heading to Iceland shortly, and I am pretty confident that the 24-120 will be my most used lens. The optics are better than they should be for the range, and the convenience of a wide to short tele lens is a real benefit. Here's a recent local shot... next share will be from Iceland... if all goes as planned.
cheers,
bruce

I'm giving good thought towards selling this lens, so I'm picking through the images in contemplation. I really haven't used this lens a lot, as I often reach for other lenses. On my last trip I ended up leaving it behind much more than I thought I would and I think the 85mm 1.8S would have handled all of the shots beyond 70mm better. It's a handy, versatile lens, but I'm still drawn to the 24-70 f2.8S images more for most of my photography interests and now more drawn to smaller primes for the casual travel photography. Changing lenses isn't ideal, but less of an issue with small primes.
On the fence here, so I'm happy to listen to some opinions to perhaps sway me back. In the meantime, a few more images I've put together:

I’m caught in the same situation, the 24-70mm 2.8S is a better lens, but my copy of the 24-120 is really good.
I actually have put it for sale on kijiji a couple of times, got really good prices for it but in both occasions at the last minute I pull myself out of the deal.
Every time I look at the photos that I took with the 24-120, I realize that it makes no sense letting it go, in my case it’s not a $1000 less or more that will make much difference at the end of the day.
